    PU (Polyurethane) Liquid Waterproofing System

Liquid-applied polyurethane membrane for exposed roofs and terraces. PU is a factory product — follow the manufacturer's data sheet; this is the typical application build-up and consumption.

Reference standards: ASTM C836, ETAG 005

    Mixing & application

    1. Grind or sweep the slab; repair cracks and holes; check moisture content.
    2. Apply primer by roller and allow to tack (2–4 hours).
    3. Detail drains, upstands (150 mm minimum) and corners with membrane + fleece.
    4. Apply coat 1 by roller/squeegee; apply coat 2 at right angles after 12–24 hours.
    5. Apply UV top coat if exposed; protect from traffic for 72 hours.
    6. Do a 48-hour flood test before handover.

    Acceptance criteria

    • Continuous film, no blisters; DFT ≥ 1.5 mm.
    • No leakage after 48-hour flood test.

    Health & safety

    • Wear PPE: helmet, safety shoes, gloves and eye protection.
    • Solvents are flammable — ventilate, no naked flames.
