CM PRO / construction site attendance and leave software
Attendance & Leaves
Keep attendance, labour registers and leave records readable across the company. Supervisors and staff make the entries deliberately; the system does not automatically mark everyone present.
7-day trial · no setup fee · your own company workspace
A muster roll written at the end of the day is a muster roll written from memory.
Construction sites, factories, trading offices and service teams all need reliable people records. Scattered registers and informal messages make presence, absences and leave balances difficult to review at the end of the month.
CM PRO Attendance & Leaves supports deliberate staff check-in, supervisor-marked labour registers, leave applications and balances. People make the entries; the system does not automatically mark everyone present. These workflows support general business as well as construction.

From first entry to management review
STEP 01
Organise the people records
Establish the staff or labour records needed for the operating location. Supervisors should know whose attendance they are responsible for and which register applies. Keep the distinction between staff self check-in and supervisor-marked labour attendance clear. Workers do not each need a phone for the supervisor's labour register workflow.

Record presence, absence, half-day status and time information using the available workflow. Entries are made by people; nothing is auto-marked. Staff location-based check-in supports site presence verification, but managers should review exceptions fairly. Do not use a late register reconstruction as a substitute for a consistent daily attendance process.
Use leave applications, approvals and balance records so employees and HR refer to the same decision. An informal conversation may explain a request, but the authorised decision should be recorded. Check overlapping absences against operational needs before approval. Apply the company's employment policy rather than assuming the software establishes legal leave entitlement.
At the period end, check the monthly summary with the responsible supervisor and investigate missing or disputed entries. Accounts can use the reviewed attendance information in salary preparation. A register is not a final payroll calculation by itself: pay rates, overtime rules, deductions and legal requirements still need their own authorised review.
Professional practice
The detail behind the workflow
01
HR discipline applies to every business
A factory shift, a service team, a trading office and a construction crew all need a reliable record of who attended and which leave was approved. CM PRO is not limited to contractors for these workflows. Choose the staff or labour view that fits how the team operates. Evaluate the screens and reporting during the trial instead of assuming attendance includes every HR function. Recruitment, advanced shift scheduling and device-specific biometric integrations are not implied by a monthly register or location-based check-in. The strongest benefit is a common, reviewable operating record.
02
Manual attendance is an intentional control
Automatic presence marking can create false records. CM PRO keeps attendance under human control: staff check in themselves where that workflow applies, and supervisors record labour attendance. This supports the owner's preference for deliberate manual marking. The team should agree when entries are made, who reviews exceptions and how corrections are approved. A missed entry should be investigated rather than silently treated as either presence or absence. Attendance records affect people and pay, so accuracy and a fair review process matter more than a headline percentage on a dashboard.
03
Location checks have limits
A location-based staff check-in supplies a useful signal but does not prove productivity, safe working or continuous presence throughout a shift. Mobile permissions, device settings and site conditions can affect the check-in experience. Managers should use the record alongside the company's established supervision and exception process. Supervisor-marked labour attendance remains available when workers do not have suitable devices. Do not promise biometric integration or automatic payroll merely because a phone can capture location. Review privacy and employment requirements for the jurisdiction where the team operates.
04
From register to a defensible salary review
The monthly register helps HR and accounts review presence, absence and time entries without retyping photographs of paper records. Resolve discrepancies with the responsible supervisor before the pay period closes. Keep approved leave distinguishable from unapproved absence and use the company's own pay and overtime rules. Exported summaries are supporting records, not a substitute for payroll approval. Different enterprises do not share workers or attendance records through CM PRO. Access should remain appropriate to the person's role, with corrections handled under the business's established responsibility and review process.
Attendance stays manual. Employment policies, overtime rules and payroll approval are the company's responsibility.
Getting started
A practical implementation, not a long setup project
Agree the starting records
Create the company workspace, select the modules the team needs and review who is responsible for each record. Begin with one operating project or location and a small set of checked inputs. Keep existing source documents available during the transition so reviewers can compare the first entries with their original evidence. A trial is an opportunity to evaluate fit, not a reason to abandon established approval procedures immediately.
Review one complete cycle
Take a representative record through the available workflow from input to output. Ask the person who enters the information and the person who reviews it to check the result together. Confirm dates, units, references and reporting periods before adding larger volumes. Where another module is needed for a connected operation, enable it deliberately. Access remains controlled by company, role and module; public free tools do not expose enterprise records.
Establish the review rhythm
Decide when records are entered, how exceptions are handled and when managers review the operating position. Keep ownership clear rather than assuming everyone will update everything. Use the shared reports as a starting point for discussion and reconcile them with the business's source evidence. Add further modules as the workflow grows. Export and document requirements should be checked with the receiving team; software output still needs authorised review before external issue.
